He is a "nonchalant". Maybe in a hammock in some Ethiopia, maybe on the bench of a wrecked train in Bulgaria. The Leica on his shoulder, he walks the streets of Sofia, Bamako or Brasilia. The black and white photography is his way of being attentive to his surroundings, while the song is colored, the art of living, a penniless bohemian wonderfully. He only needs the guitars of the others to live. His songs are written in bathtubs hotel room in Cairo or Dijon. "The lazy in the fertile valley" is his favorite book, "nothing should be wanted, it must only be made available" is his motto.
While listening to the freshness and simplicity of the songs by Camille Couteau, you can not imagine the ingenuity that they must demonstrate to successfully extricate from his room. They piled them on the bed, the piano or the edge of the tub, without success to lead them after themselves.
The year 2007, with guitarist Dominic Osawa, he tried to save some. They took several nights, and all their heart. Completed, the disc was placed on a shelf without anyone cares to publish.
Months, years have passed and then the dust... His friends from "Le Saule" moved by this beautiful mess convinced him to allow a digital output. Not so grateful in this record which he once claimed, however, he decided to keep only a few songs, giving this EP: "
J'ouvre une fenêtre".
